Marjorie Taylor Greene calls for Biden and Harris to be impeached

In a horrifying turn of events, an explosion hit Kabul’s airport on Thursday, killing at least 13 U.S. service members, according to the latest reporting from CBS. The attack underscores what many are calling a failure of leadership worthy of impeachment as thousands of Americans remain stranded in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

Conservative firebrand Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is calling for both Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to be impeached over what many consider their reckless and negligent treatment of the American people.

MTG calls for double impeachment

Rep. Greene has for months been one of a few prominent voices on the right calling for Biden’s impeachment over what many consider a pattern of cavalier indifference, if not outright hostility, to Americans and their welfare.

She called for Biden’s impeachment as soon as his term began in January, and she filed impeachment articles for the second time last week as a chaotic evacuation from Kabul unfolded, the Washington Examiner reported.

Calling the Biden administration “illegitimate,” Greene said that Biden must be removed from office because his government is not serving the interests of American citizens.

She pointed to Biden’s role in inviting hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants into the country; his authoritarian decision to suspend evictions, which Biden acknowledged was likely illegal; and the situation in Afghanistan, which Greene called a “dereliction of duty” that had placed Americans in danger, the Examiner reported.

Greene also called for Harris to be impeached on Monday, saying the vice president is “complicit” with other top-ranking officials in the Afghan disaster. “She should be impeached as well. All of them are complicit in this,” the congresswoman said, according to the local WPDE.

Greene says Biden, Harris “complicit”

Until Biden’s Afghanistan debacle, his approval ratings were generally solid, although the same could not be said for Harris, considered one of the most unpopular vice presidents in recent history.

When asked about Afghanistan last week, Harris gave a perplexing chuckle, the New York Post noted.

But there was nothing to laugh about when the Pentagon confirmed Thursday that “a number” of Americans had been killed in a terrorist attack at the airport.

Greene doubled down, saying the “Biden/Harris administration” must be held to account in a Thursday tweet.
