Fox News personality and conservative radio star Sean Hannity has been teasing the upcoming launch of a new book recently, something that may be making some people in Washington very nervous.
“Our friend Peter Schweizer, I have learned, has his new book coming out one week from tomorrow. He will launch it one week from today on this show. It’s Profiles in Corruption,” Hannity said on Monday’s episode of his daily radio program, according to Breitbart.
Hannity went on to praise Schweizer’s new work, focusing on how successful its online pre-release sales have been.
“It hit #1 on Amazon ten days before the release,” Hannity noted. “You know why? Look how ahead of the curve he was on so many other occasions.”
Author of Clinton exposé
“I mean, he does a lot of really good work. He was the first one to discover the Clinton Foundation, Burisma Holdings, etc,” the conservative media personality said of Schweizer.
Schweizer rose to fame after the publication of 2015’s Clinton Cash. In it, he focused on foreign contributions to the Clinton Foundation and on the massive speaking fees routinely paid to former President Bill Clinton, questioning whether these were used a means of buying influence within the State Department and a potential future Clinton administration.
“Who else in American politics would be so audacious as to have one spouse accept money from foreign governments and businesses while the other charted American foreign policy?” Schweizer asked.
He added” “We cannot ultimately know what goes on in their minds and ultimately prove the links between the money they took in and the benefits that subsequently accrued to themselves, their friends, and their associates.”
Clinton campaign manager John Podesta reacted harshly to the book’s publication at the time, derisively referring to its author as “a Republican operative-turned-blogger.”
“The book has zero evidence to back up its outlandish claims,” The New York Times quoted Podesta as saying. “While we will not be consumed by these kinds of attacks, we will also not let them go unchallenged.”
However, even the left-leaning Politifact said “on the specific numbers, Schweitzer is correct” regarding the amount charged by Bill Clinton in speaking fees.
Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite will be available for delivery from Amazon on Jan 21, and it is reported to contain chapters on prominent figures on the political left, including Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker.
