Harris claiming the immigration crisis is Trump’s fault

Vice President Kamala Harris put the blame for the immigration crisis on former President Donald Trump in a recent address from the border czar.

According to The Daily Mail Online, harris said that the “broken” immigration system is the Trump administration’s fault after it was reported that October saw a 128% rise in migrant crossings over the same time last year.

Citing the recorder number of unlawful border crossers, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked Harris, the president’s point person on root causes of immigration: “What are you doing to turn that around? How long will it take?”

“It’s not going to be overnight,” the vice president conceded. “We can’t just flip a switch and make it better.”

“We inherited an immigration system that is deeply broken,” she added.

Republicans, however, tell a different story, citing the sharp downturn in illegal immigration during the Trump administration as proof that the republicans increased work with ICE was a smart step.

Some of the controversial policies that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris repealed, include the “Remain in Mexico” policy, as well as loosening the grip of ICE on local enforcement of illegal immigration.

According to Harris, however, migrants don’t want to leave their country but are so desperate that the dire circumstances in Central and South America force them to make the journey.

When questioned about whether she believes she is being “underutilized” by Biden, she was sharp in her negative response:

“No. I don’t,” she told Stephanopoulos in an interview that aired on Good Morning America Thursday morning.

“I am very, very excited about the work that we have accomplished but I am also absolutely, absolutely clear-eyed that there is a lot more to do and we’re going to get it done.”

Harris’ interview aired as reports that there is a disruption in the relationship between Biden and Harris has picked up steam.
