‘More than embarrassing’: VP Harris slammed for faking French accent during Paris visit

Kamala Harris currently has the lowest approval rating of any vice president in modern U.S. history — and a bizarre video clip that surfaced this week is not likely to help.

According to reports, the video depicts her visit to a laboratory in Paris during which she appeared to attempt an awkward French accent.

Harris flubs French impression

As one former Trump administration insider opined, the scene served to illustrate why the Biden administration is not fit to lead.

The Washington Examiner reported that the footage came from the Pasteur Institute, a scientific facility that once employed Harris’ mother.

For his part, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo addressed the off-putting performance during an interview with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity on Thursday. As far as he is concerned, the incident in France the previous day was just more proof that the current administration is not being taken seriously.

“The clip from Vice President Harris is just — it’s more than embarrassing on the world stage,” Pompeo said. “Our adversaries watch that and see weakness.”

“You just trip through”

He went further in his on-air rebuke, insisting that other countries “see people who aren’t serious, they see people who aren’t determined” when they look at the Biden administration.

“Precisely the opposite of what we did for four years” under the Trump administration, Pompeo noted, adding: “It feels a lot more like the Carter administration in terms of how they view America as a danger to the world and apologize everywhere they go.”

He stressed that the United States needs “to get serious” about showing strength against its enemies, citing “the Russians, the Chinese, the North Koreans, the Iranians” as high priorities.

“You just trip through all of our adversaries,” Pompeo advised. “These adversaries can see that we’re focused on diversity inclusion in our military.”

Signaling the widespread disillusionment behind Biden’s plummeting approval rating, the former secretary of state concluded that the current White House seems to be putting “America last,” insisting: “Prioritizing climate change as America’s most significant national security threat is an enormous mistake.”
