‘Harris has done nothing’: VP faces criticism from all sides as voters, Dems look to 2024

Recent reports have indicated that Democrats aren’t opposed to replacing Kamala Harris as President Joe Biden’s heir apparent should he decide not to run for the White House again in 2024. Now, one Fox News host believes he knows why even Dems are souring on the vice president.

According to Fox, Sean Hannity said earlier this month that “no vice president in U.S. history has a lower approval rating than Kamala Harris.”

“Maybe that’s because the vice president is terrible at her job,” he remarked.

“Harris has done nothing”

Speaking on his self-titled Fox show, Hannity went on to complain about Harris’ performance since being tapped by President Biden in March to head up his administration’s domestic response to an ongoing migration crisis at the U.S.–Mexico border.

“Ever since she was appointed border czar nine months ago, Harris has done nothing to resolve the crisis,” Hannity complained.

Hannity also charged that the VP has been perpetually unprepared for briefings and has even faced claims that she’s created a toxic work environment.

“Instead of actually doing her job, the border czar now spends countless hours berating her own staff, according to numerous reports,” the Fox host said, citing reports from outlets like The Washington Post. “Allegedly, Kamala Harris is such a menace that some are openly referring to her as a ‘soul-destroying’ ‘bully.’ Ouch,” he added.

“The border crisis can wait”

Hannity ended his monologue with another jab at Harris’ misaligned priorities. “Now, of course, amid lashing out at her own employees, Kamala also found time to redecorate her own office with carefully curated art pieces,” he said.

“Apparently, according to Kamala, the border crisis can wait. Her office was in desperate need of a makeover,” he added. Take a look:

The search for a replacement

It all comes as reports suggest there’s growing “chatter” among Democrats about the prospect of completely bypassing Harris and choosing somebody else to be Biden’s successor in the White House — that is, assuming that he chooses not to (or is incapable of) running for a second term in 2024.

Meanwhile, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, Harris is currently deep underwater in terms of her favorability with Americans: Only 39.7% of voters have a favorable view of the VP, while more than half — 52.7% — hold an unfavorable opinion.
