The growing number of Americans who dislike Kamala Harris now apparently includes Jill Biden, according to one report.
In a tweet, conservative figure Jack Posobiec claimed that the first lady wants Harris out of the Biden administration.
Time to go?
According to Posobiec, the first lady has been asking “if there’s a process to remove a sitting VP.”
Some, including Posobiec, have speculated that she and Harris have been taking subtle digs at each other for months, and this is not the first time that bad blood between the two has been reported.
When Harris went on the attack against Biden’s husband Joe during the first Democratic primary debate in 2019, Jill was said to be incensed.
Harris was momentarily seen as the frontrunner after she accused Joe Biden of being a racist on national TV, but the now-first lady was reportedly so enraged that she said Harris should “go f*** herself” on a group call with supporters.
“With what he cares about, what he fights for, what he’s committed to, you get up there and call him a racist without basis?” Jill Biden said, according to the New York Post. “Go f*** yourself.”
White House in turmoil?
While the president and his counterpart are now putting on a united front, conjecture has continued to fly about their relationship. Some have noticed that joint appearances between Harris and Joe Biden have become rarer, leading to speculation that she wants to distance herself from the increasingly unpopular president.
Rumors of a Harris-led palace coup have been swirling ever since Joe Biden chose her to be his running mate, with many seeing Harris as a cynical, ambitious figure who can hardly wait to take the reins.
But with Harris now considered one of the least popular vice presidents in recent history, her allies have complained that Joe Biden is giving her a “trash” portfolio, and some have called on the president to give her more favorable jobs to do.
According to the New York Post, a former adviser to Harris told reporters that the VP is miffed that she “hasn’t been given any all-star portfolio” and that Harris and the president don’t trust each other.
But a Harris spokesperson denied the rumors, saying, “The vice president keeps a busy schedule doing the work of the administration and always in support of the president.”
