Investigation reveals evidence of FBI agents involved in drugs, prostitution

The Department of Justice this week released a damning report concerning serious allegations within the ranks of the FBI.

According to Fox News, agents are facing claims of drug use and soliciting prostitutes.

“Failed to report their own misconduct”

In one instance, an agent reportedly failed to disclose that he provided a “package containing approximately 100 white pills” to a foreign law enforcement officer.

While the Justice Department report does not specifically identify the type of pills in question, it accused the agent of lacking “candor” upon issuing his denial.

Another case involved four FBI officials who allegedly engaged in sexual activities with prostitutes while serving on overseas missions. A fifth individual is said to have unsuccessfully attempted to solicit a prostitute.

At least one agent is accused of having lied about such misconduct when questioned as part of an investigation by the Office of the Inspector General.

As the report determined: “The OIG investigation further found that all five officials failed to report their own misconduct and the misconduct of others in connection with the procurement of commercial sex, all in violation of FBI policies.”

“Two resigned, two retired, and one was removed”

The probe uncovered evidence that the agents involved acted “in violation of FBI policies,” but the report indicated that they have since left the bureau.

“Of the five officials who solicited commercial sex overseas, failed to report their misconduct and misconduct of others, and failed to report contact or relationships with foreign nationals, two resigned, two retired, and one was removed, all while the OIG’s investigation was ongoing,” the report determined.

In a statement, the FBI expressed gratitude for the hard work of the inspector general’s office as evidenced by the details brought forward in the recent report.

“The majority of our personnel, wherever they are stationed, represent the FBI with the utmost honor and respect,” the statement continued.

The bureau expressed a zero-tolerance approach against the “few individuals” within its ranks who run afoul of its policies and choose “to disregard their oath and the pubic we serve, tarnishing the good work the rest of the FBI accomplishes each and every day.”
