The conservative news channel One America News (OAN) is preparing to air a bombshell investigative report on vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Senior investigative reporter for OAN Richard Pollock narrates the promotional video for the episode, titled, “Who is Kamala Harris?”
“Exactly who is Kamala Harris, Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate?” Pollock says in a voiceover. “Is she a top cop who is tough on crime or is she a San Fransisco radical whose voting record is the most liberal in all of the United States Senate? Yes, more liberal than even socialist Bernie Sanders.”
The episode is set to air on Oct. 3 and 4.
Tough on crime, or pushing reforms?
Early in the Democratic primaries, Harris boasted about being tough on crime during her time as a California prosecutor in the 1990s. But some critics now argue that a record with an excessive amount of incarcerations of Black men and for minor drug offenses hurts more than it helps among Democratic voters.
Harris has backed away from her “tough on crime” stance in recent months, lauding anti-police rappers like Tupac and saying that BLM riots are “essential” to the American evolution, according to reports. OAN, for its part, hopes in its investigation to uncover which side of Harris would truly be working in the White House.
Gunning for Second Amendment rights
Harris has indeed flip-flopped on her stance on criminals, but she has been extremely consistent about one thing: infringing on the constitutional right to bear arms.
During the Democratic presidential primaries, Harris said repeatedly that she favored more gun control, including mandatory buybacks of certain guns she considers “assault weapons” and forced confiscation of guns from people who are banned from owning guns for mental health reasons, as NBC News reported at the time.
What’s more, when she was San Francisco’s district attorney, Harris joined an amicus brief in a Supreme Court case that argued the Second Amendment does not provide an individual right to bear arms, Reason magazine reported.
The vice presidential nominee’s name on that brief shows just how radical her position is on the Second Amendment, and that’s the stance she will likely take if she is elected vice president or eventually becomes the president.
While voters may think they are getting a moderate candidate in Joe Biden, they may end up with a leftist radical if Biden’s health fails. Is it worth the risk?
