Jill Biden apologizes for likening Hispanics to tacos

Jill Biden has apologized for an embarrassing attempt at ethnic pandering that compared Hispanic people to tacos.

The First Lady made the cringe-inducing remark at a “Latinx IncluXion” event in San Antonio, Fox News reported.

Taco comparison

Biden said that Hispanics are “as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio.” She apologized after facing backlash for the statement.

“The First Lady apologises that her words conveyed anything but pure admiration and love for the Latino community,” her press secretary, Michael LaRosa, tweeted.

Last year, Biden was ridiculed for her tortured pronunciation of “si se puede,” the slogan of labor activist Hugo Chavez (who hated illegal immigration, by the way). The phrase means “yes we can” in English and was adopted by Barack Obama.

Biden was mocked for pronouncing it as, “Si se pwadway!”

So much pandering

At the San Antonio event Monday, Biden had another flub when she pronounced “bodega” as “bogida.” A wise man once said: if you’re going to pander, at least pander correctly.

Mysteriously, like most Americans these days, Hispanics are not big fans of Biden or her husband.

A recent poll found that less than a third of Hispanics approve of Joe Biden.

What’s going on here? Maybe Hispanics don’t like being patronized with weird, made-up terms like “Latinx” that no Hispanic person actually uses by white progressive ladies with fake titles, like Dr. Jill Biden? Just shooting in the dark.

Maybe it’s time that woke white progressive “elites” learned to stay in their lane.
