Sean Hannity blasts Biden over jobs report: ‘What happened?’

Fox News host Sean Hannity excoriated President Joe Biden this week over the latest lackluster jobs report to come out of his administration.

During Friday’s episode of his self-titled Fox program, Hannity said the new jobs report, which showed only 210,000 jobs added to the U.S. economy during the month of November, reveals that the president has clearly misplaced his priorities.

The numbers fell far below expectations; experts predicted the creation of some 550,000 new jobs during that time frame.

“Wait — I thought Biden promised to shut down the virus, not the economy,” Hannity pressed, according to Fox. “What happened?”

Back to work?

Despite the report suggesting otherwise — and even concessions from the mainstream media — Biden gave a speech Friday touting the success of the economy under his leadership.

“Our economy is markedly stronger than it was a year ago,” the president said, according to Breitbart. “And today, the incredible news that our unemployment rate has fallen to 4.2%.”

Biden added: “Simply put, America is back to work and our jobs recovery is going very strong.”

A reality check

But Hannity isn’t buying it. “The November jobs report was abysmal, falling well short of every projection — keep in mind we’re already facing a severe worker shortage, record-setting inflation, insanely high gas prices, stagnant growth, and now it appears to be getting even worse,” the Fox host said on his Friday program.

Hannity also revived his longstanding claims that Biden, at 79, is not cognitively fit to lead the country. It’s an assertion that seems to be gaining steam among voters, who already aren’t sold on Biden’s leadership thus far. The president is currently sitting at a dismal approval rating of just 42.3%, according to the latest reports, putting him 9.9 percentage points underwater.

“The two most powerful jobs in America are filled by people who can barely form a cogent sentence,” Hannity said Friday, apparently referring to both Biden and the 81-year-old speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). “This is scary.”

According to Fox, Hannity also told Biden that he has “one big problem.”

“You can’t lie your way out of a crisis,” the Fox host warned. But that certainly won’t stop him from trying.
