There has recently been growing speculation that Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, could soon face criminal indictment as part of a federal probe into allegations of wrongdoing related to his dubious foreign business dealings.
Unfortunately, if a prediction from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) turns out to be accurate, the American people may never fully know Hunter’s alleged criminal misdeeds, as the senator believes a deal will be struck to “seal” and shield any indictments from public scrutiny, the Conservative Brief reported.
Sen. Johnson, in coordination with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), has been closely probing allegations of corruption and illegality, including influence peddling, by Hunter Biden for several years now, and therefore has a general idea of what he could be indicted for and why.
The prediction about possibly sealed indictments against Hunter Biden from Sen. Johnson came during a Saturday interview with Fox News host Dan Bongino, according to the Washington Examiner.
Noting President Biden’s low approval ratings, Bongino asked Johnson if he believed that the media would eventually turn on the president and report more critically and negatively on his dismal performance and failing administration.
“That’s my prediction,” Johnson replied. “My other prediction is they may indict Hunter Biden, but they’ll probably seal — they’ll do a deal — they’ll seal all the information. The American public will never get the full truth.”
DOJ and FBI cover-up?
That prediction from Sen. Johnson about potentially sealed indictments against Hunter Biden followed close on the heels of a damning allegation put forward by Sen. Grassley that the FBI and Justice Department had deliberately mischaracterized and attempted to bury valid evidence of wrongdoing by Hunter as mere “disinformation” to be ignored, according to the New York Post.
Those allegations, derived from multiple “highly credible whistleblowers” within federal law enforcement, were outlined in a letter Grassley sent last week to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray.
The Iowa senator wrote of the FBI’s alleged “receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI’s false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation,” and noted, “The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter.”
He further detailed how “verified and verifiable” information was dishonestly dismissed as “disinformation” and how the ostensible agent in charge of the investigation had improperly attempted to shut the whole thing down in October 2020, less than a month prior to the election.
“If these allegations are true and accurate, the Justice Department and FBI are — and have been — institutionally corrupted to their very core to the point in which the United States Congress and the American people will have no confidence in the equal application of the law,” Grassley wrote.
Given all of that, Sen. Johnson told Bongino that “We’ve known that the Bidens are a corrupt family for years” and that these latest allegations suggest that the DOJ and FBI “was covering it up” with help from the “complicit and corrupt mainstream media” that is only just now beginning to do their jobs and actually hold a powerful politician and his family accountable for their alleged criminal wrongdoing.
