Judge Jeanine: Trump ‘will not cower’ in the face of COVID-19

President Donald Trump received an outpouring of hate last week after news broke that both he and his wife Melania had tested positive for COVID-19. But as Judge Jeanine Pirro announced Saturday, the president isn’t afraid to take this virus head-on — naysayers or not.

The Fox News personality and longtime supporter of the president shared a unique message of strength during Saturday’s episode of Justice with Judge Jeanine, urging viewers not to lose hope in the face of the virus and this new hurdle for the president, as Breitbart reported.

“Now more than ever, we need to believe in the power, strength, perseverance, and determination of the man himself,” Pirro said Saturday, the day after Trump was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to receive treatment for his infection.

“We face it head-on”

Pirro told her viewers Saturday that Trump will not retreat in the face of trouble — and neither should the American people. “I often said President Trump is like the character who goes into the lion’s den, comes out with a pelt over his shoulder and his tie straight,” Pirro said, as Breitbart reported.

Pirro then drew a parallel between the president’s character and the qualities that typify the American spirit.

“But not only the man — the innovations and advancements in American therapeutics and a vaccine soon to be available are typical of American ingenuity,” the former New York state judge said, according to Breitbart. “Americans deal with whatever is thrown at them. We do the best we can to protect ourselves, our family and our friends.

“We learn who is vulnerable, and we take the appropriate precautions,” she continued. “We deal with it. As patients, we fight to survive because we have no other choice. And we move forward, just as this country does. We may still be in a crisis, but we face it head-on.”

“The president will not cower”

Pirro went on to tell her viewers that their job is “to continue to move forward and make sure this does not affect the campaign or this country in any way.”

“We’ll not cower,” Pirro insisted, according to Breitbart. “The president will not cower. The campaign for the president does not stop. The country does not stop.

“This president is a man who never gives up, he never runs away, he never cowers, he always perseveres, and he always triumphs,” she said. “He is in the greatest nation on earth. He has the best medical care, and he has the prayers of the American people, and the force continues to be with him.”

And it seems Pirro was right about Trump’s perseverance: on Monday afternoon, the president announced that he’d be heading home from the hospital that evening.
