It’s been months since the Supreme Court leak heard around the world revealed that in a later ruling, Roe v. Wade would be overturned. It eventually was overturned, and not much else was heard about the leak.
According to Axios, Justice Samuel Alito, the conservative justice who authored the draft decision that overturned Roe, said that the leak made him and fellow members of the high court “targets for assassination.”
That’s because the left’s reaction to the possibility of Roe being overturned was met with intense resistance, violence, and backlash.
Leftist, pro-abortion groups protested outside of the private homes of several of the justices, with at least one assassination attempt aimed at Justice Brett Kavanaugh being stopped, thankfully.
“Rational reason”
In a recent speech for the conservative Heritage Foundation, Alito opened up for the first time in public regarding the leak scandal.
Alito said the leak “gave people a rational reason to think they could prevent that from happening by killing one of us.”
Last night at @Heritage, Justice Samuel Alito said the Dobbs leak made conservative justices “target[s] for assassination.”

Most Democrats and many in the establishment mainstream media refused to acknowledge the danger to the justices at the time.
“It was a shock because nothing like that had happened in the past, so it certainly changed the atmosphere at the court for the remainder of last term,” Alito said. “But that was last term, now we’re in a new term.”
Latest on the leak
Chief Justice John Roberts vowed after the original news of the leak to get to the bottom of it, but some six months later, America still doesn’t know who was behind it.
Many suspect it was an aide to one of the justices who leaked the info, as not many others would have had access to the draft decision aside from domestic and possibly nation-state hackers.
Only time will tell, but America deserves answers, as the trust of the high court depends on closure in the matter.
