Kamala Harris fundraiser flops, gets rescheduled

Just when it seemed like things couldn’t get any worse for Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democratic party fundraiser where she was scheduled to speak has been delayed over a lack of ticket sales.

The embarrassing flop is just the latest PR disaster to hit the embattled vice president, Breitbart reported.

Dems reschedule

Tickets went for as low as $250 and as high as $50,000 (!). Not a bad price for an audience with one of the great minds of Western civilization. Seriously, Aristotle has got nothing on this:

Harris had been scheduled to speak at the Woman’s Leadership Forum on May 25 and 26, but the event was moved to the fall when it is usually held, after the sales flopped, Status Coup reported. VIP tickets in particular “weren’t moving quickly enough.”

“When the invites were sent out on May 5, it was hyped as an incredible opportunity to mingle in person after two years of virtual events and meetings,” the report said.

Democratic National Committee (DNC) spokesman Daniel Wessel did not explain why the event was rescheduled, the report said. He only said that Harris “is a huge draw.”

Dems dropping Harris

Harris was once the subject of flattering press coverage, but her vice presidency has proven the most unpopular of modern history, with approval ratings dipping into the 20s. Her own 2020 presidential campaign imploded after glitzy media profiles failed to generate popular support for her candidacy.

As vice president, Harris has proven to be her own worst enemy. Her inability to answer basic questions, random, unprovoked cackling, and incoherent musings have made her an easy target for critics, and her office has seen more or less constant turnover, with insiders complaining that she is an abusive, insecure bully.

Democrats appear to be dropping Harris like a hot potato, although she isn’t alone there, with the New York Times recently publishing an article on Democrats’ growing concerns with Joe Biden’s electability.

The Times also threw Harris under the bus, mentioning her only briefly and dismissively as a potential successor. The article bluntly states that Harris’s “political hiccups” have few Democrats with White House ambitions prepared to “defer” to her.

By official figures, the Biden-Harris ticket won a record 81 million votes in 2020.
