Keith Olbermann calls for dissolution of Supreme Court

In a major ruling on Thursday, the United States Supreme Court ruled that New York state’s process for obtaining a concealed weapons permit was unconstitutional.

While that decision was welcomed by conservatives, many on the left were furious. Fox News reported that one left-wing commentator went so far as to say the Supreme Court needs to be dissolved.

Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann made that declaration on Thursday morning as part of a profanity-laced outburst on Twitter.

Next, Olbermann denied that the Second Amendment recognizes an individual right to bear arms, a view which the Supreme Court soundly rejected.

Olbermann then proceeded to curse at Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, John Roberts, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh while dismissing Justice Amy Coney Barrett as simply being  their “paralegal.”

Fox News noted that some Twitter users accused Olbermann of sounding “unhinged” while others said his words amounted to a call for insurrection.

However, Olbermann was far from being the only high-profile leftist to publicly rail against the Supreme Court in recent days.

Similar outrage came on Friday after the Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe v. Wade, with long-time California Rep. Maxine Waters telling a reporter that it is time to defy the nation’s highest judicial body.

“Women are going to control their bodies, no matter how they try and stop us,” Waters declared, adding, “The hell with the Supreme Court, we will defy them.”
