Musician Kid Rock raised eyebrows in 2019 after TMZ published footage of him going on a profanity-laced rant against several left-wing figures, including “The View” host Joy Behar.
Yet in a recent interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, the Republican-leaning singer made clear that he never had any intention of backing down.
Kid Rock: “A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts”
Rock discussed the incident during an episode of “Tucker Carlson Originals,” which airs on the streaming service Fox Nation.

He said that the outburst against Behar came after some heaving drinking, remarking, “A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts, I own what I said.”
“I don’t apologize to anybody. I’m not an Oprah Winfrey fan,” Rock stated bluntly, adding, “I got drunk and f–kin’ next thing, I’m on stage [saying] f–k Oprah…”
Rock star remains a vocal Trump supporter
He then went on to recall how he lashed out at comedian Kathy Griffin over her decision to pose with an effigy of President Donald Trump’s severed head. However, he ended up confusing Griffin with long-time talk show host Kathie Lee Gifford.
“I got drunk and f–kin’ next thing, I’m on stage saying f–k Oprah,” Rock noted. “I was trying to go after Kathy Griffin, you know, for holding up [then-President Donald] Trump’s head, but I’m so out of it I’m like ‘f–kin’ Kathie Lee Gifford.”
“When it comes back on TMZ or whatever a few weeks later I’m like, ‘Oh man, I like Kathie Lee Gifford.’ We’ve been kind of friendly throughout the years,” he continued.
Rock addressed TMZ’s report when it was released, tweeting, “My people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey show years ago and her people wanted me to write down 5 reasons why I loved her and her show…I said f–k that and her. End of story.”
