Large majority of Americans are concerned about Biden’s mental health

A recent I&I/TIPP poll found that A majority of Americans are worried President Joe Biden is suffering from cognitive decline.

The poll found that of the 1,335 adults poll between August 2-4, 59 percent “are concerned” about Biden’s mental health. Of that percentage, 36 percent report being “very concerned” about his mental health.

“Even before he became president, the now-79-year-old Joe Biden faced serious and persistent questions about his mental health,” the poll stated.

“Among average Americans, those questions have become a major issue,” the findings explained.

Only about 39 percent of Americans are “not very concerned,” though the report notes that “perception of president’s mental health varies sharply by party affiliation.”

For instance, Republicans (82%) and independents (56%) are more likely to express concern about Biden’s mental health than members of his own party (39%) do.

“But that 39 percent of Democrats, while not a majority, is still significantly high,” according to the report.

Across all demographic categories, “responses were surprisingly uniform,” with significant majorities of men, women, and people of different races and ethnicities expressing concern about Biden’s mental health.

The only exceptions to that were respondents who identified as black, of whom 44% express concern for Biden’s mental health.

“The fact is, based on these polling data, there is genuine concern among virtually all groups over Biden’s cognitive health,” the poll indicated.”It has taken on political urgency with the looming 2022 midterm elections, which, if Republicans prevail, could well turn Biden into a lame duck,” the report continues.

Even Biden’s media allies now believe that he is too old to run for president again in 2024. As a result of numerous verbal and physical errors made by Biden while in office, the public has frequently questioned his suitability to serve as the leader of the free world. Most recently, while visiting Kentucky, Biden was observed fumbling to re-don his sport coat.

Even though prices for goods and services are still up 8.5 percent from the prior year, the president recently boasted that there was no inflation in July.
