Mainstream networks ignore mass departures of staff members working for Kamala Harris

Vice President Kamala Harris has lost a dozen staff members in less than a year and a half, yet mainstream networks continue to ignore the concerning trend.

A report concerning the lack of coverage was released this week by NewsBusters concerning the media bias.

“Don’t seem to care”

“Twelve major staffers have now left the Vice President’s office amidst rumors of discontent and chaos. What, exactly, is going on in the VP’s office? Don’t look to ABC, CBS, and NBC. They don’t seem to care,” NewsBusters research director Scott Whitlock wrote.

“As each one departed, the network newscasts avoided saying any of their names, saving the Vice President from embarrassment,” Whitlock wrote.

“As they exited, the number of times their names have been mentioned on the networks? ZERO.”

The latest departure

Deputy Chief of Staff Michael Fuchs announced his plans to leave office on Monday, according to the New York Post on Monday.

“It’s been the honor of a lifetime to serve in this administration, working for the Vice President and President on behalf of the American people,” Fuchs wrote in an email.

“Fifteen months later, it’s almost difficult to recall the magnitude of the challenges we faced when we came in, from an unprecedented pandemic to historically difficult economic circumstances. And it is thanks to the work of this administration — and all of you — that our country has had such success in tackling these challenges and turning things around.”

In addition to departures from the vice president’s office, White House press secretary Jen Psaki reportedly accepted a new job with MSNBC.

The high-level exit may be another signal that the future is looking grim for Democrats in the midterms and beyond.

Those working for Harris and President Joe Biden continue to leave at high levels during a struggling time, with polls pointing to a red wave of Republican wins in November.
