The rise of biomedical tyranny has left Americans who still want to live in a free county searching for hope and leadership, and many have found it in Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).
But despite the governor’s best efforts to keep capricious, unscientific mandates out of Florida, a state judge just upheld mask requirements in schools, The Hill reports. And that’s not the only bad news.
President Joe Biden has declared war on unvaccinated Americans with a legally dubious federal mandate forcing millions of private sector workers to get the shot, presenting a new challenge for DeSantis, an early opponent of vaccine passports, and any Republican leader who isn’t a total fraud.
Judge upholds school mask mandates
After DeSantis banned mask requirements in schools, Leon County Circuit Judge John Cooper overruled the governor for a second time on Wednesday, The Hill reported.
While DeSantis has appealed the case, Cooper said that, for now, schools can enforce mask mandates, which he said do not “create any meaningful harm.” The judge cited the “overwhelming” consensus among scientists in favor of masks and dismissed the objections of parents, saying school boards can limit their rights “to some small degree” when health concerns are involved.
DeSantis said the ruling is not surprising and that he would continue to fight it, according to Fox News.
Biden wants GOP govs “out of the way”
As parents across the nation battle with petty tyrants on school boards to unmask their children, Biden has singled out DeSantis for supporting personal choice. In a speech Thursday, the president threatened to get governors who are not on board with his agenda “out of the way,” vowing to bring the hammer down on red state governors who ban masks in schools, which he has already done by opening Department of Education investigations.
Taking a shot directly at DeSantis, who has threatened the salaries of mask-crazed school officials, Biden said the federal government would reimburse those “whose pay is withheld from doing the right thing,” according to Fox.
And in his most extreme action yet in the never ending war on what Biden called a “pandemic of the unvaccinated,” Biden announced — with precisely no legal authority — that he will begin requiring millions of private sector employees to get vaccinated.
He paired this astonishing move with a no-holds-barred attack on unvaccinated Americans, who he said are “blocking public health” and testing the nation’s “patience.”
“Petty food fights”
DeSantis did not immediately respond to Biden’s speech, telling Fox News he is “focused on working for the people of Florida and not getting into petty food fights” and pointing to an earlier statement saying, “I do not believe that people should lose their jobs over this issue.”
Still, Biden’s tyranny requires an energetic response. Are Republican leaders ready to fight?
