The White House forgot to put a mask on Joe Biden Thursday in a photo-op meant to display the president “keeping busy” despite falling ill with COVID-19.
The president was photographed “doing great” at his desk with a pen in hand, the Daily Wire reported.
COVID-positive Biden goes maskless
The unseen person who took the photo was wearing an N95 mask and Biden took his mask off so that the American people could see him at work, his spokesperson, Karine Jean-Pierre, claimed. By the following day, the mask was back on in a photo of Biden talking on the phone.
Folks, I’m doing great. Thanks for your concern. Just called Senator Casey, Congressman Cartwright, and Mayor Cognetti (and my Scranton cousins!) to send my regrets for missing our event today.

Biden was sickened with COVID despite being quadruple-vaccinated and despite his own misleading claim that COVID is a “pandemic of the unvaccinated,” a phrase Biden used to scapegoat those refusing the shot. Now, the White House says Biden, and “everyone,” was destined to get COVID all along.
“We knew this was going to happen,” Jean-Pierre said. “At some point, everyone is going to get COVID.”
Needless to say, the media aren’t holding Biden’s feet to the fire over his vicious, unwarranted bullying of the unvaccinated, nor do they seem interested in getting on Biden’s case for ignoring his own messaging on masks.
The left’s pandemic hypocrisy exposed
A short video of Biden on the White House balcony, again with no mask, telling Americans that “it’s going to be okay” was warmly received by media pundits as proof that Biden is doing things right.
Back in 2020, the media demonized President Trump, who had just recovered from COVID, for telling the American people not to let fear of the pandemic run their lives, a message he underscored by removing his mask in a defiant gesture on the White House balcony.
Biden is sending virtually the same message now, but the media’s tone couldn’t be more different. Instead of accusing Biden of being “anti-science,” they are uncritically echoing the White House’s message that Biden has tamed the pandemic with vaccines. In reality, the vaccines have failed to do what Biden said they would, and hundreds of thousands have died from COVID on his watch.
For Democrats, COVID has always been about politics, not science. Jean-Pierre all but confirmed that Thursday when she let slip that — as far as the regime is concerned — it doesn’t “matter” who Biden has been in contact with recently.
“The president is — has mild symptoms, he’s able to do the business of the American people from the residence and that’s what matters right now,” she said.
