Polls show that many voters disapprove of how President Joe Biden’s administration has handled the migrant crisis along America’s southern border.
However, political activist recently argued that far from being mere incompetency, Biden’s policies amount to criminal behavior that’s worthy of impeachment.
During a Wednesday interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, former Trump administration adviser Stephen Miller responded to a segment that Carlson did on the military being used to transport illegal migrants.
“It violates a wide series of immigration laws that delineate in great depth the precise rules and conditions for how you can enter the country and how you cannot enter the country… ” Miller declared.
Resettlement of immigrants “purposeful, planned”
“This is not about an administration that is unable to protect the border,” he continued. “This is about an administration that in a very purposeful, planned, deliberate, painstaking fashion has turned our Border Patrol and ICE agencies into resettlement agencies.”
“This is a planned resettlement. The largest of its kind, I would suggest perhaps in the history of the world. In terms of the number of illegal border crossers being resettled into the interior of our country in violation of plain law.”
Miller then went on to lay out his case for why the Biden administration’s migrant policy warrants the president’s removal from office, saying, “If that’s not an impeachable offense, I can’t imagine what would be.”
“When Joe Biden put his hand on the Bible and swore an oath to take care of the laws we faithfully executed, to uphold, protect, and defend the Constitution, to ensure a Republican form of government to every state, he has violated every single one of those commitments.”
Leaked email told soldiers to keep quiet about migrants
Earlier in the broadcast, Carlson presented an email that he said was provided to him by a military whistleblower. The document was put out by one Lt. Col. Matthew Burrows, and it detailed how Laughlin Air Force Base in Texas would be used for immigration purposes.
“Over the next few days, weeks or months, you may see passenger aircraft on our ramp transporting undocumented non-citizens,” it read.
The email went on to warn military personnel to “not take photographs and refrain from posting anything on social media” regarding the migrants.
:What’s happening, what they’re doing, is wrong,” Carlson declared. “It’s moreover a violation of the most basic promise of democracy, which is that citizens get to control who runs the government.”
