President Joe Biden’s time in the White House has been an unmitigated disaster, by any measurement.
That’s why it’s not surprising that more and more Democrats are turning on the president, with many emerging from previously cowering and now admitting that they don’t want Biden to run again in 2024, according to the Washington Examiner.
The latest evidence of the growing trend is what New York Democratic congressional candidate Max Rose said about his view of Biden mounting another possible run.
Rose isn’t fond of either Donald Trump or Biden running in ’24, and his reason concerns the two mens’ age.
Too old for office?
“I do not think that Donald Trump should run in 2024. I do not think that Joe Biden should run in 2024,” Rose told FOX 5 NY. “I’m sick and tired of that generation being in power. We’ve got to move on.”
Biden, 79, would be the oldest president in U.S. history should he run and win again.
Rose added: “We have to turn the page, not just on this politics of ineffectiveness but also these politics of division and vitriol. It’s time to move on as a nation.”
Rose is likely one of many Democratic candidates who wish to see fresh blood take a stab at the White House, and at this point, any man or woman off the street would probably poll better than Biden.
Mental acuity concerns
Most Democrats won’t admit it, especially as the midterms are only about a month away, but Biden’s cognitive health is being increasingly questioned by the mainstream media, whereas before, only those on the right dared to mention the issue.
A long list of Republicans, including former White House physician and current Texas Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson has, on multiple occasions, called for Biden to take the same cognitive skills tests that he administered to Trump.
So far, Biden and the White House have refused to comment on the test, let alone take it.
It’s certainly a fair request by the American people, as we have the right to know whether or not the leader of the free world is mentally sound enough to ensure we don’t enter World War III, or worse.
