More reports have surfaced about the role of Antifa in the so-called “night of rage” over the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V. Wade released on Friday, showing that the group instigated and encouraged acts of violence by protesters as well as engaging in violence themselves.
In Washington, D.C., protesters wore all black and had backpacks of supplies and umbrellas to ward off tear gas or other projectiles. Some of the protesters chanted, “Every city, every town, burn the precinct to the ground.”

In fact, they did not burn precincts to the ground, just kind of lethargically marched along with their umbrellas. I guess it’s the thought that counts.
A lot of shouting
Compared to the George Floyd protests, thank God, it was a whole lot of shouting but not much action in most places around the country.
Seems kind of like activists were trying to talk people into being violent, like in this tweet by Juan C .Chavez:
There’s nothing so “uncivil” or “unpeaceful” that you could say, yell, or occupy that comes close to the real threat and heinous violence the Supreme Court just perpetrated against you. Don’t let the powers that be tell you otherwise.

One notable exception was in New York City, which had been plastered with “night of rage” posters for weeks leading up to the decision announcement. The NewsCorp building that houses conservative media outlets Fox News and the New York Post was surrounded by protesters and vandalized, with about 25 people being arrested before the crowd dispersed.

But even this was not violent in the way that previous protests involving Antifa have been.
Not complaining
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about the relative lack of violence. I think protesters intended to use empty threats of violence to scare learned jurists into ruling the way they wanted, but it didn’t work.
Now, it seems like they’ve got nothing left but their slogans and some spray paint, firebombing a few Catholic churches and pro-life clinics notwithstanding.
