MSNBC suggests Trump indictment would lead to domestic violence ‘worse than post-9/11’

According to Breitbart News, an MSNBC analyst suggested that an indictment of former President Donald Trump would put the threat level of domestic violence occurring higher than the threat level following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The analyst who made this claim is MSNBC national security analyst Frank Figliuzzi. He did so Friday on Deadline.

“Worse than post-9/11”

The segment started off with guest-host John Heilemann asking Figliuzzi, “what’s the threat level right now?”

“I’ve got to tell you that the prospects moving forward are pretty dire because, as I said, the radicalization has occurred,” Figliuzzi replied.

“If Trump is indicted on something somewhere on one or more investigations that are underway, his people, many of them, will see it as an attack as they did for the mere search warrant,” he continued. “The mere search warrant got us dead people, namely the guy in Cincinnati, and all kinds of threats.”

Next, Figliuzzi was asked whether there has there ever been a time when he thought that the prospect of political violence was more likely. He said that there has not been.

Then, Figliuzzi was asked, “do you think the country is more at risk right now than it was in the days immediately following 9/11?” to which he replied, “it is worse than post-9/11 here at home.”

This comes following the FBI’s recent raid of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. The unprecedented raid appears to be part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation into whether Trump may have violated the law by keeping confidential documents at his residence.

There are many things about the raid, however, that just do not pass the smell test. This includes the fact that, according to Trump, the documents were declassified, that the FBI knew about the documents and had Trump install a lock to secure them, that Trump was willing to hand the documents over, and more. On top of all of this, there is the fact that the DOJ and FBI appear to be pursuing Trump for the same thing that they let Hillary Clinton off the hook for.

Given all of this, and more, Trump has claimed that this is little more than a continuation of the political left’s “witch hunt,” which started before he even became president. Many of Trump’s supporters appear to feel the same way about the raid.

Following the raid, the FBI has revealed that it has experienced increased threats, including increased violent threats. Trump has said that he “will do whatever” he can to help bring the “temperature” down.

But, one can’t help but note that, to some extent, the government brought this upon itself with its repeated, baseless attacks against Trump.
