Nancy Pelosi said she was ready to “punch out” Trump on January 6

While President Joe Biden is known for regularly making bizarre statements, he isn’t the only member of the Democratic Party who does so.

That fact was on display this week when footage emerged showing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi threatening to “punch out” former President Donald Trump.

“I’m going to punch him out”

As the Washington Examiner reported, Pelosi can be heard making that comment along with other outlandish statements in new video footage released by CNN.

Shot in the United States Capitol on January 6, the video shows Pelosi being told by her chief of staff Terri McCullough that then President Donald Trump had been dissuaded by the Secret Service from marching with his supporters.

“The Secret Service said they have dissuaded him [Trump] from coming to the Capitol,” McCullough explained to Pelosi.

“They have told him that they don’t have the resources to protect him here, so at the moment his is not coming but that could change,” she added.

“Tell him, if he comes here, we’re going to the White House,” the House speaker responded before bursting into laughter.

“If he comes, I’m going to punch him out,” Pelosi threatened before adding that she had “been waiting for this. For trespassing on the Capitol grounds, I’m going to punch him out. And I’m going to go to jail, and I’m going to be happy.”

Pelosi told an interviewer that she is “pretty tough” and “a street fighter”

Last year, Pelosi said during an interview with USA Today that she would have physically brawled with the Capitol Hill rioters had she come face-to-face with any of them on January 6.

“Well, I’m pretty tough. I’m a street fighter,” the House speaker insisted. “They would have had a battle on their hands.”

Pelosi went on to declare that she would have used her 4-inch-high stilettos as weapons. The House speaker just turned 82 this past spring.
