Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul Pelosi arrested for drunk driving

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband, Paul Pelosi, was arrested for driving drunk on Saturday night after crashing his Porsche in California’s wine country.

The 82-year-old was booked on two misdemeanors and released on $5,000 bail, according to the New York Post.

Paul Pelosi arrested for DUI

Pelosi was arrested at 11:44 pm PST on charges of driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher and driving under the influence of alcohol, both of which are misdemeanors.

He was just five miles from a vineyard that the Pelosis own in Napa Valley when he blew a stop sign and drove his Porsche right into the path of another man driving a Jeep, 48-year-old Jesus V. Lopez.

Neither driver was identified as being at fault in the police report, but the man driving the Jeep was not arrested.

Pelosi was booked early Sunday morning at the Napa County Detention Center and was out by 7:26 a.m.

TMZ was first to report the news.

Nancy responds

Mr. Pelosi is a millionaire and venture capitalist. He and his wife have been married since 1963 and they have five kids together.

Pelosi’s wife, who was giving a speech at Brown University in Rhode Island on Sunday, said she was not with her husband at the time of the arrest.

“The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast,” Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s spokesperson, said.

Well, this is embarrassing, but not necessarily surprising.

You mean to say the “elites” who are constantly giving moral lectures to average Americans are a bunch of decadent hypocrites?
