Questionable content
The school informed parents in a message that “the movie [junior kindergarten to Grade 3] students are going to see on Wednesday, June 22 has been changed to ‘Sing 2.’”
“This change has been made from the original movie ‘Lightyear’ due to questionable content in this movie that we feel is not suitable for all of our students,” it added.

Not just Canada
The film has been banned in many nations in the Middle East, with at least 14 nations noted.
Lightyear has also received strong criticism from many in the U.S. over its sexual themes targeted at a young viewing audience.

Many have noticed the “go woke, go broke” trend seems to be happening to Lightyear as well, with parents simply not interested in their children viewing such content at such a young age.
