Actor Michael Rapaport blasts Harris, Democrats for lack of ‘outrage’ over border crisis: ‘I want tears!’

Former President Donald Trump faced incessant criticism from elected Democrats and those in the mainstream media over his treatment of migrants at the southern border — but even as conditions fail to improve under President Joe Biden, many of those same voices are remaining eerily silent.

Now, however, even those on the left are starting to push for answers. According to Breitbart, left-leaning actor Michael Rapaport lashed out at Democrats including Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday over the apparent lack of “outrage.”

Harris, for her part, was recently tapped by Biden to lead his administration’s efforts to “stem” migration at the U.S.–Mexico border, as the Associated Press reported.

“Needless to say, the work will not be easy,” Harris said following the announcement, according to the AP. “But it is important work.”

“I want outrage!”

Though Trump certainly had an outsized share of critics during his tenure in the White House, few were as vocal as Rapaport, who bombarded the Republican president on a near-daily basis with expletive-laden missives on a variety of topics, including, of course, border security and immigration.

Now, with Biden in office and with the border seeing a historic surge of migrants, overwhelming both border facilities and officials, the loud-mouthed actor has shifted his hyper-critical view to those on his own side of the political aisle.

In his Thursday tweet, the actor shared a video that provided a brief glance at the conditions at one of the migrant holding facilities at the southern bordern.

“I want outrage! I want tears! I want comparisons to Nazi Germany! I want some Outrage!” he wrote, according to Breitbart.

Something? Anything?

Rapaport went on to call out several Democrats who he feels have been less-than-active in pushing for reforms in this area, including so-called “Squad” members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a New York congresswoman; Ilhan Omar, who represents Minnesota in the House; and Rashia Tlaib, a Michigan congresswoman who, like her Democratic colleagues, was long a staunch opposer of Trump’s America-first border policies, as Breitbart noted.

Rapaport also tagged in his tweet CNN hosts Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo, as well as MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and even Vice President Harris herself.

Only time will tell how and when Harris et al. wake up and accept the situation at the border for what it is: a crisis that desperately needs solving. It’s long overdue.
