Tensions between Palestine and Israel have spiked in recent days as the region sees the worst fighting in years.
According to Fox News, one Pakistani actress responded to the outbreak of violence by sharing a disturbing — and falsely attributed — quote in apparent praise of Adolf Hitler.
“To show the world why I killed them”
In a tweet she later deleted, Veena Malik attempted to quote the genocidal dictator, writing: “I would have killed all the Jews of the world…but I kept some to show the world why I killed them.”
The obscene post came as reports indicated that at least seven Israelis have been killed in rocket attacks since Mondays — including a soldier and a 6-year-old child.
Although Malik deleted that tweet, her feed still contains several posts accusing Israel of committing “war crimes” and pleading for a “Free Palestine.”
More than 100 people, including 27 children, have been killed in the Gaza Strip, reports note.
Reports show Palestinian terrorists have launched over 1,500 rockets into Israel since Hamas set off the deadliest round of hostilities since 2014. Most of the incoming missiles have been intercepted by Israel’s so-called Iron Dome defense system.
“I do not care if your blood is boiling”
For his part, U.S. President Joe Biden has faced criticism for a perceived lack of intervention but declared on Wednesday that Israel “has a right to defend itself” against Palestinian attacks.
Progressives in his party, including Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), have gone so far as to accuse Israel of terrorist acts against Hamas in Palestine.
As of Thursday, Israel had been preparing thousands of reserve soldiers for a possible ground invasion of Gaza as the barrage of rockets continued. Three rockets were also fired from southern Lebanon, another nation with a history of conflict with Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned violence on all sides, declaring: “To the citizens of Israel, I say that I do not care if your blood is boiling. You cannot take the law into your own hands. You cannot grab an ordinary Arab citizen and try to lynch him just as we cannot watch Arab citizens do this to Jewish citizens.”
