Democrats have taken a beating over the past few weeks over their inability to control party infighting to a level where compromise could be made on a pair of bills the Biden administration desperately wants to pass through Congress.
One of those bills, known as the $3.5 trillion Build Back Better plan, is currently facing a stalemate within the Democratic Party, as moderates and progressives fight over the price tag. According to Fox News, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) apparently believes the press corps is partly to blame for the lack of action on the monstrosity of a spending package.
“To be very frank”
Pelosi, when talking to reporters at a press conference, was asked if she thought she and Democrats could have done a better job selling the idea of passing the bill to the American people.
The question came in the wake of a new CBS News poll that revealed only about 10% of Americans understood what’s in the bill — which, as a side note, actually might have been by design, as there’s so much ridiculous spending language in the bill that Democrats might be happy with most of America being in the dark.
“Do you think you need to do a better job at messaging, and going forward, how do you sell this?” asked CBS News’ Nikole Killion.
The embarrassed speaker shot back, saying, “Well I think you all could do a better job of selling it, to be very frank with you,” as if it’s somehow the media’s fault for not promoting a Democrat-led spending bill that could wreck the U.S. economy as we know it.

Needless to say, one would be hard-pressed to locate a congressional Republican willing to back the $3.5 trillion social spending package, but on the Democrats’ side of the aisle, two senators remain steadfast in their opposition to giving the bill legs.
Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), both known as moderates in the party, have resisted unbelievably intense pressure to get on board with the progressive wing of the party and lend their support to the legislation.
The two senators have been relentlessly attacked by Pelosi’s loyal and misguided lemmings in the mainstream media, along with radical leftist activists who have gone as far as chasing Sinema into a bathroom, and surrounding Manchin’s houseboat with kayaks.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration, including the president himself, has attempted to sell the legislation to the American public by claiming it has “zero cost,” an assertion that has been mocked and ridiculed, appropriately.
Pelosi and top Democrats must be beyond desperate if they’ve resorted to blaming the mainstream media for their failure to unite the party and achieve forward progress on the bill.
