Pelosi calls Rep. Greene’s latest argument with AOC ‘verbal assault’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) called Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-CA) argument with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Wednesday a “verbal assault.”

Pelosi also suggested Greene’s actions should be brought to the House Ethics Committee.

The House speaker condemned Greene over an incident during which she reportedly shouted at Ocasio-Cortez as she left the House chamber. Greene reportedly asked Ocasio-Cortez why she supported antifa and Black Lives Matter, calling the movements terrorist groups.

The Georgia congresswoman also challenged her about refusing an earlier debate on the Green New Deal.

A Matter for the Ethics Committee?

Pelosi said Greene’s behavior was “so beyond the pale” that, “It probably is a matter for the Ethics Committee.” She added that Greene’s remarks were also “a cause for trauma and fear among members, especially on the heels of an insurrection.”

Ocasio-Cortez spokesperson Lauren Hitt told the Washington Post following the reported incident, “We hope leadership and the Sergeant at Arms will take real steps to make Congress a safe, civil place for all Members and staff.”

Greene insisted Thursday that she has every right to expect that a fellow House member would debate important issues.

“Why would a member of Congress need security to debate with another member? That doesn’t make sense,” said the Georgia lawmaker, according to NY Daily News.

Greene also shrugged off the possibility of facing an ethics investigation.

Not their First Rodeo

The feud is not the first time the two lawmakers have been in battle. A September 2020 Twitter post reveals one of many earlier online smears between the two vocal House members.

And the Twitterfeud does not seem to be ending soon. Greene’s latest tweet doesn’t mention AOC by name, but clearly calls out her recent actions.

  1. Marissa Meyer – CEO of Yahoo! , is advising people to start “Work at home” practice, that I have been doing for over a year now. This year alone, I made about $36k so far with nothing but my computer and some free time, despite that i have a full-time 9 to 5 job. Even people new to this, can make $50/per h easily and the earnings can go even higher over time… This is how i started…>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> http://snag4.com/

  2. I’m in complete agreement with Marjorie Greene. Good for her. She’s fighting for our rights. We need more like her.
    And why doesn’t OC want a debate.🧐
Could it be because she knows she doesn’t stand a chance with M.G.?🧐

    1. I commend her for being righteous and standing up against the conniving Democrats.
She can shout if she was not being heard. Rashida always yells obscenity with crude facial expression and publicly called our President Donald Trump SOB. She didn’t apologize and no one in her gang said anything about her uncouthness.

The people who voted for her are even more ignorant than she is. The people who support her have no positive defining adjectives.

  5. Greene is the model of an intelligent woman telling it like it is and Pelosi’s minions can’t stand that.

  6. So Pelosi has to fight AOC’s battles cause she can’t, she can lie, spew hate, act like a trader who works in the USA government, doesn’t follow any of the rules but makes stories that are not true & promotes radical terrorism! I think she can either SHUT UP or face the music!!

  7. AOC should have been up in front of the ethics board long ago with the statements she has made in the past, and for her verbal attacks of the allies of our country.

  8. I’m making over $7k a month working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life. This is where i started…………..—->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> http://snag4.com/
