Pelosi heir apparent Hakeem Jeffries called Trump ‘fake’ president

Like the woman he will soon be replacing in House Democratic leadership, New York’s Hakeem Jeffries (D) is a hardcore partisan who routinely questioned former President Trump’s legitimacy — an “election denier,” if you will.

The heir apparent to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) is on record calling Trump “fake” and “illegitimate,” Fox News reported.

Pelosi’s replacement is an election denier

Democrats coined the term “election denier” during the midterm cycle as an attack line to disparage Republicans who question the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election, even though Democrats spent the entirety of Trump’s presidency raising doubts about his legitimacy.

Most of those claims centered on the bogus theory that Trump was secretly a Russian spy working for Vladimir Putin. Jeffries was a prolific promoter of the delusional narrative, frequently claiming Trump was “illegitimate” and a “Russian asset.”

“The more we learn about 2016 the more ILLEGITIMATE it becomes,” Jeffries tweeted from his government account in 2018. “America deserves to know whether we have a FAKE President in the Oval Office.”

An exhaustive probe by Special Counsel Robert Mueller that consumed much of Trump’s term established in 2019 that there was no evidence of Russian collusion. But that didn’t stop Jeffries from continuing to assert that Trump somehow stole the election.

In 2020, Jeffries tweeted that history “will never accept you [Trump] as a legitimate president.”

Marching in tune

Of course, Jeffries was far from the only Democrat “election denier” who spread the “Russia, Russia, Russia” lie.

Pelosi herself claimed that the 2016 election had been “hijacked” by Moscow to install Trump in a nefarious attack on democracy.

Our election was hijacked. There is no question. Congress has a duty to #ProtectOurDemocracy & #FollowTheFacts,” she tweeted in May 2017.

Pelosi announced her retirement from leadership in a sanctimonious speech Thursday that made lofty appeals to America’s principles, the Founding Fathers, and Scripture while conflating the Democratic party with “democracy” itself.

She pointedly omitted Trump in a list of presidents she was proud to work with, once again implying he was not legitimately elected.
