Report: Pelosi’s son being investigated by FBI for 6th time

The FBI is once again investigating the son of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), making it the sixth time the bureau has done so.

Paul Pelosi, Jr. is being investigated for allegedly bribing a San Francisco official to remove permit violations from a building his girlfriend owned, known as “The Pit,” the Daily Mail reported exclusively on Friday.

Subpoenas delivered

The official, permit expediter Rodrigo Santos, was indicted in November for fraud. He is suspected of soliciting thousands of dollars in payments from his clients to building inspector Bernie Curran’s rugby club in exchange for removing violations.

Pelosi Jr. is suspected of being “Client 9,” who sent $1,500 to the rugby club after text messages with Santos. He was allegedly attempting to fix code violations and get permits for the hotel, but not by actually doing the work.

FBI agents have subpoenaed Pelosi Jr.’s associates, including his girlfriend, and apparently asked questions about him.

Back in February 2019, “Nancy’s son himself admitted he was ‘helping remove the citations from the property,’” the Daily Mail said.

The rugby club never cashed Pelosi Jr.’s check and is not suspected of any wrongdoing.

Wrongdoing denied

Curran and Santos deny all wrongdoing and will reportedly appear in court on Feb. 4. According to the Daily Mail, Curran said Santos introduced him to Pelosi Jr. by telling Curran that the two went running together. Curran has maintained that he knew nothing of Santos’ schemes and said he has acted ethically for his entire 40-year career.

Another building inspector who wanted to remain anonymous said that Pelosi Jr. met with him several times trying to get violations removed from the same property.

One of Pelosi Jr.’s ex-girlfriends said the FBI had investigated him at least three times over the building. “Paul’s been under FBI investigation like three times over this,” Nicole Bulick said, according to the Daily Mail. “Maybe in the summer of 2017. The FBI looked at this for almost two years. They called me too… He went and spoke with the FBI three times.”

Other reports say Pelosi Jr. was an investor in the building and would show other potential investors around.

It’s unusual that the FBI should investigate Pelosi Jr. over such a long period of time. Are they waiting for his famous mother to leave office before they pounce?
