British television host Piers Morgan began his new Fox Nation “Piers Morgan Uncensored” this week by interviewing former President Donald Trump.
Yet according to Breitbart, Morgan’s ratings have tanked after it was revealed that he deceptively edited footage from the encounter.
Audio disproves’ Morgan’s claim about Trump storming off
The website reported that the host discussed the interview this past Sunday with Fox News’s Howard Kurtz, complaining that it had been “uncomfortable.”
“I’ve never seen him like that,” Morgan told Kurtz, adding that the former president “was very angry” and “quite profane” before finally walking off the set.
Morgan tweeted out a teaser for the show last week which appeared to show disgruntled Trump getting up and leaving in the middle of the interview.

Yet NBC News reported that a Trump representative provided it with an audio recording of what happened after the interview concluded, and it contained no evidence of Trump storming off. Trump could be heard thanking Morgan and agreeing that the interview had been “great.”
Breitbart stated that Morgan’s ratings have since fallen by 70%. His actions baffled one unnamed media strategist, who was quoted as telling Breitbart, “I have no clue what he was thinking.”
“He launched a show aimed at a right-of-center audience, but deceptively edited the trailer in a failed attempt to embarrass President Trump. He lost all credibility with his target audience before his show even aired.”
“From ‘Uncensored’ to ‘Unwatched'”
The strategist then drew a comparison between Morgan and CNN’s failed streaming service, saying, “The only question now is, does he last longer than CNN+? I don’t think so.”
Another media strategist who is said to be “close to a Fox News primetime anchor” asserted that executives at both Fox News and its parent company are “embarrassed” by the way Morgan has operated.
Meanwhile, a former executive with Trump’s former NBC show, “The Apprentice,” told Breitbart that Morgan doesn’t seem to have a future.
“Piers Morgan is a washed up, has-been and some over produced and over edited promo trailer won’t change that,” the former executive argued. “In three days he went from ‘Uncensored’ to ‘Unwatched.'”
