Joe Biden says he is ‘proud’ of Hunter, won’t discuss investigations

Joe Biden has refused to discuss the recently reported investigation into his son Hunter Biden’s finances, including potential tax fraud and possible money laundering.

When asked by the media whether Hunter had “committed a crime,” he only repeated a previous response that he was “proud of my son” and walked away from reporters without giving a further answer.

The Biden-Harris administration previously released a statement about the investigation. “President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger,” the statement said.

Hunter Biden admitted that he was under federal investigation last week, saying he only learned about the probe on Tuesday even though sources said it had been going on since some time in 2018.

Hunter Biden investigation moving forward

More details are emerging about the investigation, including reports that it is focused on Hunter Biden’s business dealings with China.

The New York Post reported that Ye Jianming, the then-chairman of CEFC China Energy Co. who has since vanished, gave Hunter a 2.8-carat diamond after meeting him at a business dinner in Miami.

The diamond became an issue in Hunter’s divorce from Kathleen Buhle, who said it was worth around $80,000.

Hunter told the New Yorker last year that he gave the diamond to two business associates who were also at the dinner, but he did not identify them, according to the Post.

Hunter confident about investigation

Hunter’s statement on the investigation was also short and simple: “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”

No doubt, Hunter’s confidence has a lot to do with the fact that his father is likely to be the next president.

If the Democrat powers-that-be decide Biden needs to go because of his health or his obstruction of the radical left agenda, though, all bets are off that the media will continue to treat the Biden family with kid gloves.

Daddy’s ability to keep investigators at bay may be limited if the attack machine he helped create turns on him. In that case, Hunter Biden will be the best way to get to his father, and may end up being a casualty of a larger plan.
