The Los Angeles rapper known as Blueface has been arrested on attempted murder charges in relation to an October shooting in Las Vegas.
A dramatic video of his arrest showed undercover officers taking down the rapper, whose real name is Jonathan Porter, the New York Post reported.
Rapper arrested
The video, obtained by TMZ, shows undercover officers with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police rush in to arrest Porter, 25, as he’s sitting on a bench outside of a chicken and waffles restaurant.
Porter was booked in the Clark County Detention center on charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm inside of an occupied structure.

The rapper allegedly shot a nan in the early morning of October 8, 8 News Now reported. The victim, who survived, says he was shot outside of a strip club near the Las Vegas Strip.
The two appear to have had some kind of altercation. The victim said he spoke with Blueface earlier in the night and joked about him “speaking with some females in a cheap vehicle.”
$50,00 bond for attempted murder?
According to police documents, the victim was trying to flee in his truck when a “black male adult in a hooded sweatshirt brandishes a handgun and discharges what appears to be two rounds at the vehicle.”
“[The victim] was attempting to leave in his truck after the fight and stated the males may have thought he was ‘going for a gun’ and started shooting at him in his truck,” the documents said.
A judge ordered Blueface held on $50,000 bond — seemingly low for attempted murder.
This isn’t Blueface’s first run in with the law. He was charged with a felony in 2019 for illegal gun possession and was arrested again earlier this year for carrying a concealed firearm.
His latest arrest Tuesday comes after another famous rapper, Takeoff, was shot and killed following an altercation outside of a bowling alley in Houston earlier this month.
