A recent graduate of Harvard University is blaming supporters of President Donald Trump for the fact that she was recently fired.
As the Washington Examiner reports, Claira Janover received degrees in government and psychology from the prestigious university.
Upon graduation, she accepted a position with a respected accounting firm based in the United Kingdom — but it would be short-lived. A social media video in which she shares a violent analogy to those with the “nerve” to say “all lives matter” amid the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement.
“I’m’a stab you, and while you’re struggling and bleeding out, I’m’a show you my paper cut and say, ‘My cut matters, too,'” Janover said in the now-viral video, according to the Examiner.
“My cut matters, too”
Backlash over the TikTok clip led to her employer’s decision to let her go. She went on to address the issue in the same social media forum.
“Standing up for Black Lives Matter put me in a place online to be seen by millions of people,” she said in the subsequent video. “The job that I’d worked really hard to get and meant a lot to me has called me and fired me because of everything.”
Janover reiterated that her threat was not intended to be taken literally and posted a separate video shifting the blame to Trump and his fans.
“Trump supporters took my job away from me,” she claimed.
“I’m not going to stop”
In addition to the alleged “death threats, rape threats, violent threats” she received from her critics, Janover said that her “future’s entirely compromised” because of the actions of Trump supporters.
“I’m too strong for you,” she said of the impact this ordeal has had on her life, according to the New York Post. “I’m too strong for any of you ‘All Lives Matter,’ racist Trump supporters. It sucks. But it doesn’t suck as much as systemic racism. And I’m not going to stop using my platform to advocate for it.”
Ivy League schools like Harvard have long been the object of ridicule among conservatives who view them as breeding grounds for the liberal elite.
The incident involving this recent graduate certainly won’t help matters.
