Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) weighed in on the Sussmann trial saying that what was learned about Hillary Clinton was reportedly “huge,” according to Fox News’ report on Jordan’s comments.
Jordan was referencing the grand jury trial that probed the activities, and statements of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman who was put under the microscope.
Overall, the “big takeaway” from the trial, according to Jordan, is that Hillary Clinton took “false information” to the press and FBI.
The Ohio representative outlined the chain of events in the Sussman trail that pointed to what some are calling an “alarming” connection to the case where Sussman was eventually found not guilty before the grand jury.
“The big takeaway here was what we learned a few days back when we learned that Secretary Clinton told Sussmann to take false information to the press that was also then taken to the FBI,” Jordan said during his interview on “The Faulkner Focus” Tuesday.
The lawmaker also slammed Hillary Clinton for her involvement in spreading what were clearly unproven allegations about a Trump-Russia collusion.
While Sussman was somehow found not guilty of lying to the FBI, the case was not without benefits to those who believe the former presidential candidate worked outside the law in an attempt to win the presidency in 2016:
“Step back and think about this – this is the former secretary of state, this is the former first lady, this is the former United States senator from the state of New York, and candidate for one of the major parties for president of the United States,” Jordan said.
“And she’s encouraging a false narrative to be taken to the press. And, of course, it was also taken to the FBI. I think that is huge.”
“And so much so, that the former attorney general called it seditious. And again, you don’t have to take my word for that. This is her campaign manager, Robby Mook, under oath in a court of law, making that statement. So that’s the big takeaway here.”
The former first lady has been accused of a multiplicity of potentially illegal activities in connection with the 2016 presidential campaign.
The issue of Russia collusion with former President Donald Trump had likely the farthest-reaching implications as the former president was plagued by investigations into the issue through the vast majority of his tenure in office.
