Breitbart reported that Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert's marriage to longtime husband Jayson Boebert is apparently over.

It pointed to a statement released by the Republican lawmaker on Tuesday which said she and her husband are splitting over "irreconcilable differences."

Boebert announces divorce "with a heavy heart"

"It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband. I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process," Breitbart quoted Boebert as saying.

"I’ve always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult," she continued.

"This is truly about irreconcilable differences. I do not intend to discuss this matter any further in public out of respect for our children, and will continue to work hard to represent the people of Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District," the congresswoman stressed.

Boebert's husband reported to be angry over split

Meanwhile, the Daily Beast cited an affidavit from the process server who notified Jayson Boebert that his wife was seeking a divorce.

"Once he learned that he was being served with Dissolution of Marriage papers he was extremely angry," the process server was quoted as writing.

"I tried to hand him the documents but [he] did not take them. He started yelling and using profanities, and told me that I was trespassing, and that he was calling the Sheriff’s Office," the affidavit continued.

"I told him I was leaving the documents on the chair outside of the door, he closed the door then let the dogs out," it went on.

Boebert touted "preciousness of a life" upon becoming a grandmother

This is not the first time that Boebert's family has made headlines recently, as in March she announced that her 18-year-old son would be a father.

According to Fox News, Boebert released a statement that both announced her new grandchild and praised young mothers who choose life for their children.

"If you look at teen pregnancy rates throughout the nation, well, they're the same, [in] rural and urban areas. However, abortion rates are higher in urban areas," she noted.

"Teen moms' rates are higher in rural conservative areas, because they understand the preciousness of a life that it's about to be born," the conservative lawmaker stressed.
