Report: Democrats terrified that Biden is leading them to midterms ‘slaughter’

As the midterm elections near, Democrats are increasingly worried that President Biden’s reckless mismanagement of the country is going to get them “slaughtered,” according to a new report.

A Democratic strategist conceded to The Hill that Democrats are essentially doomed, with voters having “lost confidence” in Biden’s ability to lead.

Dems see “slaughter” in midterms

Biden charged into office with a radical, FDR-sized agenda, but critics say that he misinterpreted his mandate following a bitterly contested and narrow election win that was made possible in part through blatant censorship. The president has since wrecked the economy with reckless spending and driven illegal immigration to record highs with an open border policy.

Part of the problem for Biden is that his administration is so unwilling to change direction, a Democratic strategist told the Hill — contrasting Biden’s approach with that of Bill Clinton, who moderated his policies after huge midterm losses in ’94.

“Everyone needs to come to terms with the reality that we’re going to get slaughtered in November,” the strategist said. “That’s a fact. His polling has gotten worse, not better. It’s indicative of the fact that people have lost confidence in his leadership. There’s nothing they’re going to be able to do.”

White House propaganda isn’t working

Other Democratic sources were less candid than the anonymous strategist, but they acknowledged inflation and record gas prices will probably cost Democrats in November. The war in Ukraine hasn’t given Biden a “rally round the flag” effect, either, with voters primarily concerned with inflation, the Hill noted.

The Biden regime and its media lapdogs have dealt with the political headwinds by lecturing Americans over their failure to appreciate Biden’s “strong” economy, which has seen soaring prices eat away at Americans’ paychecks even as Biden warns that his sanctions against Russia will create food shortages.

Biden’s desperate attempts to shift blame for “Putin’s price hike” do not seem to be working, a White House insider conceded to the Hill.

“For whatever reason, the messaging hasn’t gotten through,” the official acknowledged. “At times it feels like we’re spinning our wheels.”

Obama to the rescue?

With Biden’s approval ratings hovering in the low 40s, Democrats are said to be desperate for help from Biden’s old boss, former President Barack Obama, according to another report in The Hill.

Obama reassured Democrats at the White House Tuesday that they just have to tell their “story,” but it’s a task easier said than done, with a CNN poll in February finding that most voters could not identify a single thing they liked that Biden has done.

The Hill noted that Dems are even starting to fret about losing the Senate — as Biden’s rating tanks in swing states like Arizona, a key state bordering Mexico that Biden carried by a hair in 2020.
