Report: Hunter Biden caught committing gun crimes that typically carry decade-long prison sentences

Hunter Biden has allegedly committed some serious crimes. Why isn’t he facing the same penalties as others who have engaged in the same offenses?

Biden allegedly committed two gun crimes that have put others away in prison for a decade, the Daily Caller reported. The son of President Joe Biden appears to have lied about his drug use to obtain a gun and illegally discarded the weapon without consequences.

The 18 U.S. Code § 922 bars the use of any “false or fictitious oral or written statement” to obtain a weapon. It also prohibits the use of a firearm by any person “addicted to any controlled substance.”

However, Hunter Biden reportedly answered “No” on a 2018 application when asked if he was an “unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance.” By his own admission, Hunter Biden was a heavy drug user at the time.

In his memoir, “Beautiful Things,” Hunter Biden said he was “smoking crack every 15 minutes” at the time. There were also photographs of the president’s son, naked and holding a gun with drug paraphernalia present. A firearm was reportedly ditched by Joe Biden’s daughter-in-law, Hallie.

This is enough to send him to prison for years — and in fact, others who don’t have such a powerful father have suffered that exact fate. Five Boston men were indicted because of similar behavior, and each could face a decade in prison.

A 24-year-old Tennesse man, Isca Johnson, received 21 months in prison after police found he had marijuana and a gun in his home. The same goes for Justin Eagle Pipe, 38, of South Dakota. Harold Salway Jr., 22, could spend his life in prison for the same crimes Hunter Biden allegedly committed.

Still, Hunter Biden has yet to be charged even as his father attacks gun rights for law-abiding citizens. It seems the only reason Hunter Biden is a free man while others like him are imprisoned is because of his famous last name — and that simply is not acceptable.
