Republicans accuse Pelosi of stonewalling over questions related to Jan. 6 security

As the anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol protest nears, Democrats still haven’t answered basic questions about how the so-called “insurrection” transpired.

Republicans say that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been stonewalling their effort to expose a critical breakdown in security procedures that the speaker could have prevented — but for some reason, didn’t, The Washington Times reports.

Pelosi blasted

Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL), the top Republican on the House Administration Committee, insinuated that certain records, if published, would show that there was extensive coordination between Pelosi and law enforcement prior to the riot. He sent a letter to Pelosi demanding answers on her party’s obstruction.

“Now, nearly a year after this request, the House Sergeant-at-Arms and Chief Administrative Officer have yet to comply with my request,” he wrote.

It’s not hard to see why Democrats are reluctant to look into Capitol security: it doesn’t suit their hysterical narrative.

Ever since the riot, Democrats and cable news talking heads — in many cases the same people who made excuses for the “mostly peaceful” George Floyd riots — have been preoccupied with pushing a storyline that Jan. 6 was an “insurrection” that implicates Trump and all of his supporters as terrorists.

Rodney’s request comes as Democrats prepare for a day of “solemn” partisan messaging. Pelosi will mark the day with “prayers,” while President Joe Biden plans to blast Trump as the ringleader of an attack that Biden and his allies have called the “worst” threat to “democracy” since the Civil War, as the New York Post noted.

A day of propaganda

Despite Biden’s delusional narrative (has he forgotten Sept. 11?), the only person intentionally killed in the “deadly insurrection” was an unarmed pro-Trump protester whose unprovoked execution by a Capitol Police officer the left has celebrated.

Indeed, the left has shown its authoritarian face by applauding Biden’s political persecution of the so-called “insurrectionists,” as House Democrats move ahead with a show trial that has seen them spy on and threaten to jail Trump allies for the crime of daring to question the fairness of the 2020 election.

Not unlike the communists of old, Democrats are working to re-write history, and they’re not even trying to hide it: Thursday’s dramatic pageantry will include an event with historians to “establish and preserve the narrative of Jan. 6.”

Democrats also plan to capitalize on the anniversary to push for election reforms that they say are necessary — of course — to prevent future insurrections.

For his part, Fox News noted, former President Donald Trump canceled a press conference that he had planned Thursday to respond to the Democrats’ propaganda avalanche.
