Despite the dramatic failure of the COVID vaccine to stop the spread of the virus, Joe Biden is continuing to threaten the livelihoods of countless Americans for daring to refuse the injection.
In response to Biden’s tyranny, a growing number of Republican lawmakers — at least 49 — are threatening to shut down the federal government in the coming days, Fox News reported.
Republicans threaten vaccine showdown
While many were heartened by the Biden regime’s decision to end its most sweeping mandate — a breath-takingly authoritarian edict squeezing 84 million workers under the pretext of “occupational safety” — after a Supreme Court defeat, millions of Americans are still facing pressure to get the shot.
On Wednesday, the Biden regime announced it would begin discharging U.S. Army service members who have refused the injection.
As Biden continues to bully and coerce Americans, a letter calling for Republicans to unite against his remaining federal mandates before a deadline to fund the government on February 18 has been picking up signatures.
The letter asks the Republican party to “decide whether they will vote to fund a federal government that is enforcing tyrannical COVID-19 vaccine mandates on the American people” and implores Republicans in Congress to stop waiting for the judicial branch to intervene.
The names include Senators Rand Paul (KY), Ted Cruz (TX), Ron Johnson (R-WI), and Mike Lee (UT); and in the House, Reps. Scott Perry (R-PA), Warren Davidson (R-OH), and Lauren Boebert (R-CO)
“We’re going to find out”
A previous effort to block the mandates in December failed after Republican senators, led by Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), signed a continuing resolution to keep the government funded.
The push to defund Biden’s mandate is being led by Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R), who says the shutdown is a chance for Republicans to show that they are serious about stopping Biden’s tyranny.
“Most Republicans say that vax mandates are tyrannical and foolish, but will they unite before government funding expires on Feb. 18 to pledge not to fund enforcement of these mandates?” Roy asked.
“Will at least 10 of the 19 GOP senators who voted to punt last time now stand up for health care workers or not?” he continued. “We’re going to find out.”
Indeed, do Republicans in Congress have as much courage as the Canadian truckers who have shut down Ottawa?
