The Republican National Committee (RNC) just exposed the fact that President Joe Biden has not given a press interview in over 114 days.
So much for his campaign promises of transparency.
One would have to go all the way back to early February for the last time that Biden gave a press interview. It occurred on Feb. 10 during the lead-up to the National Football League’s (NFL) Super Bowl, which took place on February 13.
At the time, Biden participated in an interview with NBC News’s Lester Holt. Although it took place on Feb. 10, it was disseminated to the public in three separate parts.
Other than this, though, Biden has had minimal formal contact with the press. In the months of March and May, for example, Biden held two separate press conferences, one at the NATO Emergency Summit and another with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.
But, other than this, Biden has only had little run-ins with the press, such as before and after plane flights.
What this demonstrates is that Biden has taken the basement strategy that he used during his presidential campaign to his presidency.
What’s going on?
If you ask the White House why Biden isn’t interacting with the press, it will simply deny the premise of the question arguing that Biden has been interacting with the press. In other words, you’re not going to get an answer.
Biden, however, on numerous occasions has let America in on what is going on. And, what is going on is that whoever is running the show behind the scenes doesn’t want Biden interacting with the press. We know this because Biden has said on several occasions that he will get in “trouble” if he interacts with the press.
“Look, I’m sorry. I’m going to — this is the last question I’ll take,” Biden said on one occasion. “I’m really going to be in trouble.”
Accordingly, most of the time, Biden reads a scripted speech or statement and then takes off without taking any questions from the press.
The whole situation is a farce, and it will continue until Americans decide to put an end to it.
