Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced Monday that she thinks Joe Biden’s support for abortion should disqualify him from serving in the nation’s highest office, Fox News reported.
According to Fox, Sanders’ remarks came on Monday’s episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight. There, President Donald Trump’s former top spokeswoman told host Tucker Carlson that any pro-life American should stay away from the Biden-Harris ticket this November.
“You hear the Democrats and Biden falsely talk about how they have compassion and empathy for everyone,” Sanders said, according to Fox, “except for the very most vulnerable people in our society: the unborn children.”
“A pillar of what they stand for”
She went on: “The fact that they don’t stand up for them and do everything they can to protect them, I think, disqualifies them.”
According to Fox, Sanders went on to argue that “any person that is pro-life should have no ability to vote for Joe Biden and the Democrats who make [abortion] part of their party platform and a pillar of what they stand for.” It was a message the former press secretary reiterated in a tweet late Thursday evening.
Joe Biden and his allies talk about empathy and compassion but have none whatsoever for the weakest and most vulnerable among us – the unborn child. Biden’s support for taxpayer funded abortion on demand is unacceptable and should disqualify him from the presidency.

If Americans heed Sanders’ warning, it would indeed put a dent in Biden’s chances of winning the Oval Office. In its report on Sanders’ remarks, Fox News cited a May poll from Gallup that showed roughly a quarter of Democrats believe in the sanctity of life and are opposed to abortion.
Meanwhile, according to Gallup, “[s]even in 10 Republicans identify as pro-life.”
“A wake-up call”
But even if not all Democrats are on board with the pro-life movement, many are surely disappointed to see their party’s decided lack of attention toward a recent surge in violent crime. As Fox reported, Sanders told Carlson on Monday:
Not only will [Biden and his allies] not protect children in the womb, they also won’t protect them in their communities.
“Never…before in our history have we seen a political party disparage the brave men and women of our police force and be so taken by the left-wing mob, the ‘defund the police’ wing of their party, and allow communities to be completely overtaken by crime,” Sanders added, according to Fox.
The former White House press secretary went on to suggest Americans who are concerned about keeping their families safe “can’t in good conscience vote for Joe Biden and the Democrats.”
“This should serve as a wake-up call to every community in America that has been ravaged by crime. This is not a ticket you can trust to make you safer,” she told Carlson, according to Fox. “In fact, it’s opposite.”
