News anchors are yet again trying to diagnose President Donald Trump with mental health problems.
According to the Daily Caller, Joe Scarborough, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, suggested Thursday that Trump is in “cognitive decline.”
According to the Daily Caller, Scarborough alleged Thursday that Trump is “collapsing” in the polls, and that’s sent him into “a complete meltdown mode.”
“I think he was threatening to sue his campaign manager,” the MSNBC host opined in video shared by the Daily Caller. “But…the numbers are horrific in the swing states; they’re even bad in Texas, they’re bad in North Carolina, they’re bad all across the United States.
“Donald Trump, of course, is not going to blame himself,” Scarborough added, pointing to Trump’s daily coronavirus press briefings, which have been a point of contention among those in the media, some of whom say the pressers aren’t worth airing — at least not in full.
But that’s not the only thing Scarborough thinks is hurting Trump’s numbers. “People have been talking about his cognitive decline for some time and how it might impact us in a crisis,” he said Thursday, according to Breitbart.
The MSNBC host went on: “Now, of course, worries that a cognitive decline is starting to catch up with him and we’re starting to pay. But, my gosh, Americans are noticing, and the poll numbers are just collapsing.”
More “Fake News”
But while Scarborough may be harping on the numbers, Trump’s supporters have learned that the polls aren’t nearly as accurate as the media seems to think.
A quick glance at the RealClearPolitics average for Trump’s approval rating — 44.1% approve, 50.8% disapprove — shows that Trump has only seen a slight decline over the month of April, and that is merely down from a record high near the end of March. He remains on par with much of the rest of his tenure.
As for allegations that Trump is planning to sue campaign manager Brad Parscale for “enriching himself” through his role on Team Trump, the president said in a tweet on Wednesday night that such rumors are “Fake News.”
Just told that Fake News @CNN is falsely reporting that I was recently shouting at my campaign manager over made up nonsense. Actually, he is doing a great job, I never shouted at him (been with me for years, including the 2016 win), & have no intention to do so. Just FAKE NEWS!

What’s more, with former Vice President Joe Biden likely on the ticket this November, who is Scarborough to talk about Trump’s mental state?
