The New York Post reported this week that it filed a request under the Freedom of Information Act to see who has visited President Joe Biden at his two houses in Delaware.
Yet in a bizarre story, the paper was told by the Secret Service that it has no idea who is coming and going from Biden’s homes.
“No records were located”
Secret Service Freedom of Information Act officer Kevin Tyrrell was quoted as saying on Monday that “[t]he Secret Service FOIA Office searched all Program Offices that were likely to contain potentially responsive records, and no records were located.”
The Post noted that Biden spent roughly one out of four days during his first year in office at his residences in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach and it is not clear who met within that time frame.
The Post is not alone in seeking more information concerning who may have interacted with Biden while he was away from the White House, as the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch has sought the information as well.
Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton told the paper that his organization has been met with a “shell game” on the part of the Secret Service.
“Obviously the Secret Service knows and tracks who is visiting President Biden at his homes in Delaware and they are playing a shell game with the public to keep that information secret,” Fitton asserted.

The Post also pointed out that White House press secretary Jen Psaki has repeatedly said January Biden has no plans to make the visitor logs at his homes public.
“Well, the president goes to Delaware because it’s his home. It’s also where his son and his former wife are buried. And it’s a place that is obviously close to his heart,” Psaki declared at January a press conference.
“A lot of presidents go visit their home when they are president,” Psaki continued, adding, “We also have gone a step further than the prior administration in many administrations in releasing visitor logs of people who visit the White House and will continue to do that.”
Interest over possible meetings with the president have grown as his son, Hunter Biden, is being investigated for alleged tax fraud.
According to the Post, then Vice President Joe Biden attended a 2015 dinner in Washington with some of his son’s foreign business associates.
