A protester in Los Angeles, California, found out the hard way on Wednesday what can happen when an unauthorized person approaches the route of a U.S. Secret Service-protected presidential motorcade.
A woman protesting in favor of abortion rights was collared and wrestled to the ground and handcuffed after walking out into the middle of a blocked-off street while President Joe Biden’s motorcade sped past, the Conservative Brief reported.
Secret Service takedown
The woman was wearing a sundress with a large bag over her shoulder and was using a bullhorn to amplify her pro-abortion message as she marched in the middle of the street while the vehicles in the motorcade drove past her.
At one point, a law enforcement officer ran up from behind the woman and grabbed her around the neck and shoulders as he first slung her away from the motorcade’s path before she was then slammed to the ground near the curb.
The woman struggled mightily against the officer, who identified himself as a Secret Service agent, and various items like sunglasses and pieces of equipment, as well as a large can of spraypaint from her bag, were scattered about the street during the melee.
She was none too pleased to have been tackled and arrested and made prodigious use of the F-word in expressing her displeasure. Other protesters at the scene also demanded the agent let her go or argued with other agents and officers who formed a perimeter around the wrestling agent and protester.
The incident was captured on cellphone video and subsequently shared online by a local Fox reporter.

Biden in L.A. for the summit, Kimmel interview
According to Breitbart, President Biden was in Los Angeles on Wednesday to kick off the Summit of the Americas, a regular gathering of most of the nations in the Western Hemisphere.
In addition to the summit, the president also joined late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel for a taped interview that would be broadcast later on Kimmel’s program.
This protester may have thought that, since the president shares her view on abortion, she would be able to harangue the passing motorcade in the middle of the street with impunity.
What she soon found out, though, is that the Secret Service doesn’t play politics or care about where one stands on certain issues, and instead is solely focused on protecting the president and ensuring that no potential threat is given space to act.
