President Joe Biden prompted a variety of headlines as he embarked on his first international trip since Inauguration Day.
When he traveled to the United Kingdom to join other world leaders for the G7 summit, however, at least one incident attracted the sort of attention the president would probably prefer to do without.
Jill Biden to the rescue
Multiple clips of his behavior while meandering through an outdoor patio area revealed him looking confused and raised new questions about his cognitive health.
At one point, Biden seemingly struggled to hear a reporter’s question before first lady Jill Biden stepped in to offer some assistance.

Another questionable incident occurred when Biden interrupted U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson to introduce the South African president — even though Johnson had introduced Cyril Ramaphosa just moments earlier.

“In real trouble”
His apparent repeated mix-up between Libya and Syria also raised eyebrows as he attempted to field a question about how to find common ground with Russia and the Middle East.
“We can work together with Russia, for example, in Libya,” Biden said. “We should be opening up the passes to be able to go through, provide food assistance, and economic — I mean, vital assistance to a population that’s in real trouble.”
He went on to assert that “the rebuilding of Syria, of Libya — you know, this is — they’re there and as long as they’re there without the ability to bring about some order in the region, you can’t do that very well without providing for the basic economic needs of people,” adding that he is “hopeful that we can find accommodation where we can save the lives of people in, for example, in Libya consistent with the interests of — may be far different reasons — but for the same reasons.”

For her part, Fox News Channel commentator Tammy Bruce tweeted that the president’s performance was “horrible,” adding: “At some point his cognitive disfunction has to be considered a [national] security threat if only because of the confidence it must give our enemies.”
