Speaker Pelosi’s home targeted by pro-abortion activists

Abortion rights activists have targeted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) with a protest in front of her home to challenge her to investigate Supreme Court justices over its recent leak.

The protests are being led by one of the same groups behind the protesters who showed up at the homes of conservative justices over the past week.

Cowardly representation?

“We have had careless and cowardly representation by [Pelosi],” the group wrote. “The GOP followed a scorched earth strategy with endless Benghazi hearings and ACA repeals, but she passed endless bills that lay on [Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s] desk and refused to hold hearings on TRUMPIAN crimes.”

“When nauseating [Supreme Court Justice Brett] Kavanaugh was nominated in 2018, Dems knew he was a Bush campaign operative who had perjured himself in previous confirmation hearings,” it continued. “He was also a known alcoholic and gambler. Then his serial sexual assaults came to light. He was still seated on SCOTUS.”

At it again

A video of the protest showed only a small group of protesters with a banner that read, “Abortion on demand & without apology.”

The group of seven total people in the video was likely outnumbered by the reporters covering the event.

The effort lacked the numbers and anger shared during the protests at the homes of conservative justices, showing that the small assembly was more about making noise than representing large numbers of people upset over whether Pelosi is supporting abortion strongly enough.

Instead, many Americans are thrilled at the potential for the court to return abortion decisions to individual states. The change could help up to 26 conservative-led states to limit abortion in stronger ways.

The protest may have made for a good headline, but really does little to oppose Pelosi and instead confirms most people who favor abortion are in favor of her view.
